News of the Dela Cruz Family and the Liberty Bible Baptist Churches, Missions, and Ministries in Cambodia

[NEWS] June 3, 2011 Newsletter

Dear Beloved,

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

( Philippians 1:6 )

God has begun is us all and we thank you for your prayers and support for the ministry here in Kampong Cham and our other ministries which we continue to be a part of here in Cambodia.

God allowed us to have the following for the last 2 months:

Focus:

We concentrate on the city of Kampong Cham and Kampong Siem district and spent more time with the people and kids that God has given us to minister. God gave 4 ladies in our neighborhood for my wife to teach the Bible once a week in their homes. We have 4 areas that we minister to located in the western part of the city namely : Hungary Road, Bang Kuk, Bang Snai and Rongchak ( Kampong Siem district ). So far God has given us 2 factory workers ( Sena and Rey Nou ) and Chandy , a high school student. I have 1 Bible Study in Bang Kuk every Friday afternoon. We have an average attendance of 45 in the morning and 50 in the afternoon every Sunday for the past 2 months and God gave us 68 saved for the 2 months as well! Praise God!

April: Mao died , he was my first adult convert 14 years ago. He was buried in his home in Prey Veng, he is survived by his wife and 2 sons and 3 daughters who are all serving God.

We had film showing in Bang Kuk and we had 35 souls saved.

My sons Gershom ( 11 ) and Gaius ( 10 ) spent their birthdays with the kids on 2 occasions here and we had a blast.

It was also a blessing to have 5 young people from our home church come and visit us.

May: Pastor Phirun (of Treng Trayueng Baptist Church in road 4) and Sister Thavin had their engagement ceremony last May 6. It was my honor to officiate the program. There were over 50 people that came.

We had 5 that came to our Mothers’ Day here in Kampong Cham.

Sports festival. We had 4 days of holidays and we spent 2 days for our Youth. We had fun games at church and we had 99 that came of May 13. Prasie God for those 19 that got saved! On the second day we had soccer games 112 came to attend at the City Sports Complex.

We visited the Tropeng Phlong National Correctional Prison 3 near the border of Kampong Cham and Vietnam. I gave out 400 Booklets of “Do you know God?” and some 3 Bibles. It was a blessing to share the Gospel to the inmates. There were over 20 that made professions of faith. One guy named pheap was sentenced to 12 years and now he has 3 yers more to go. He said “pastor when I get my freedom I will serve God with you”. Amen!

God blessed us with 150,000 gospel tracts, 5,600 booklets , 2 boxes of Bibles and we were also able to get our old trailer traded with a new one. We placed our old stainless steel baptistery on it, we are very excited to use it for baptism this month.

I thank God for Brother Reaksmai is a polio victim, 30 years old who is my partner. He was a monk for 10 years but God saved him and he has given his life to serve God. He visits, wins souls, pass out tracts, invites, cleans the church and teach Sunday School. But He can do more and go further if he has a 3 wheeled vehicle. Right now he pedals a bicycle, but falls most often and gets himself bruised. Together with Bro. Reaksmai , we have passed out 5,000 tracts for 2 months now.
