News of the Dela Cruz Family and the Liberty Bible Baptist Churches, Missions, and Ministries in Cambodia

[NEWS] February 3, 2011 Report

Dear Beloved,

The New Year and the New Ministry here in Kampong Cham is very blessed. We have labeled January as the month of Victory.

We had our first Sunday of the year with 41 in attendance and 3 saved. January 7th was Cambodia’s Victory Day Celebration (liberation from Pol Pot’s regime). On the same day, we had our Victory Day celebration in Kampong Cham. We had 78 in attendance and 28 got saved. We had Pastor Conui and family that visited us, they played the violin and sang, Pastor Conui gave a message after we showed the “Jesus Film” in the Cambodian Language.

We had an average of 35 attendance for the month of January here in Kampong Cham. Please pray as we disciple and teach these folks. We hope to baptize them soon.

We started an extension church in Soung City. We had been going there for 3 weeks now. Because of those 26 folks that came to our Christmas program last time, they got saved and now we are doing follow up and Home Bible study there. Please pray that Preacher Rithy can have a motorbike that he can use to go there every week.

This January, we found a property for the church here in Kampong Cham. We go there every day and claim it from God. Please pray for it.

The ministries in Phnom Penh and Road 4 are thriving. I will update you later about them.

On January 20-22, I brought Pastor Bunthoun (of LBBC Thnuel Tutueng) and Pastor Phirun (of LBBC Treyng Treyeung) to Bangkok. There we attended the Preaching Conference of First Baptist Church. It was a blessing to hear Dr. Jack Schaap preach at the end of the 1-day conference. Both of the preachers I brought were blessed. It was their first time to cross the border. We hope that our Cambodian preachers would develop a burden for their Thai neighbors as well.

Thank you for your prayers.

Yours for souls,

Lomer Hope dela Cruz
